Shenandoah County Committee Meeting Schedule:
Finance – Responsible for overseeing preliminary budget preparation and review as well as all financial matters.
Personnel – Responsible for overseeing personnel matters.
Property and Public Works – Responsible for working on matters affecting the acquisition and disposition of, and maintenance of, all County-owned properties including courthouses, office buildings, landfill, dog pound, County Farm, and water and sewer projects including Sanitary Districts and Authorities.
Public Safety and Code Administration –
Responsible for working on matters affecting public safety, as well as ordinance preparation and review.
Economic Development – 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm.
Responsible for overseeing the economic development program in Shenandoah County.
Planning Commission – 1st Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. Provides recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning land development ordinances, comprehensive planning, and future land use policies.
Citizens’ Advisory Committee – 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Responsible for continued review, revision and update of the Comprehensive Plan.
