County Ordinance Revision
After more than five years of work, Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors recently updated their zoning and subdivision ordinances to address the goals of the vision statement of the county's comprehensive plan. We look forward to working with local residents and elected officials to implement the key elements of these new ordinances.

Stormwater Regulations
Still ongoing, the Forum urges Virginia officials to adopt stormwater regulations to ensure protection of our rivers and drinking waters in Shenandoah County.

George Washington National Forest
With more than 80,000 acres of GWNF within Shenandoah County, the GWNF is of particular relevance and importance to Shenandoah County residents.

Wind Energy
As our county continues to ponder the application of wind energy, Shenandoah Forum will continue to post materials and additional information.

Marcellus Shale Gas Mining
As new technology increases access to possible natural gas resources, we will monitor and inform on any mining activity in the Valley.
